more pratchett

Monstrous Regiment and Going Postal, by Terry Pratchett.

Thud, by Terry Pratchett.    After several books of no noticeable errors at all, we get missing words, missing letters, and printing errors like "alI" and a zero instead of a capital "o," etc,
Other than that, it is a good story.  I like that we are back to main characters after a few side stories.  The mystic monster that turned out to be (spoiler!) inside Vimes was a little less mystical and a little more lack-of-detail.  I want to be able to not figure out what is going on because of sly clues and red herrings, not because of vagueness and complete lack of relevant information.
Those are my only complaints.

I am officially reading these slightly out of order: the main books I have read in order, according to what's on the inside front covers, but I didn't realize until Going Postal that The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents and The Wee Free Men aren't listed in the real list; they are listed in a separate list, in the "also by."  I will get them all, however.  Actually, I got  our AV lady to by the audio book version of The Wee Free Men, which (so far) is fantabulous!

In other news, I made it so you had to be a follower of the blog in order to post comments, since I already had that word verification thing on, and I'm still getting those ... messages with links to Asian porn sites.  So if you've never posted an actual comment, watch out for blocking.  I am severely annoyed.
