two more.

White-Out, by James Vance Marshall.  This is another title that I felt compelled to weed from Fiction because it hadn't checked out in 10 years, but the story line sounded so interesting I had to take it home.  This was a fantastic book!  I deeply cared about the character, I couldn't put the book down, the writing was superb... leave it to my patrons to not recognize a good thing when they see it.

The Gardener, by S.A. Bodeen.  The story sounded really interesting and novel, so I gave this a try, thinking it might be good for the booktalks I'm doing.  I read about 50 pages and nothing really grabbed me; I wasn't drawn in by the main character, the plot wasn't throwing out teasers, nothing.  Who's going to wait more than 50 pages to see if the book starts getting good?

  1. Thanks for the great review of the book White-Out. Perhaps a few of your followers will now read the book. It's funny that there are so many good books out there that no one has heard of. It's very much like the many old classic movies that I've become interested in lately. I haven't heard of most of them but when I watch them, they're great. Keep up the good work.
