Further Fowl

Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code, by Eoin Colfer. These are about the only books at the library without a waiting list, so I'll read them. Two in one weekend: that's how quick a read they are. Artemis Fowl: The Opal Deception, by Eoin Colfer. It especially annoys me that a character specifically incorrectly corrects other characters' grammar. None of the characters can speak a line without using a fragment, run-on, or other hideous grammatical error. Neither can the author. I like the characters and the plot, but in light of the poor model given by the author, I would only give this book to children who already know how to construct correct sentences. Good luck to those tutors staffing the Writing Lab during finals this week. Brutal!
